Tips for manual setup

  • If automatic account detection fails, choose IMAP and enter the settings manually.
  • Some mobile apps require the port to be added after a colon, for example: SERVER_HOSTNAME:993 (IMAP) or SERVER_HOSTNAME:465 (SMTP).

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot send email: make sure SMTP authentication is enabled and the outgoing port is 465 with SSL/TLS.
  • Certificate warning: check that you are using the server hostname (not the domain name) as the server.
  • Password rejected: reset the mailbox password in Plesk (Mail) or in GARMTECH.Email.
