This guide is for email addresses created in Plesk as part of a GARMTECH hosting plan (Website Hosting / WordPress Hosting).

For a secure connection (and to avoid certificate warnings), always use your hosting server hostname as the mail server. Do not use mail.yourdomain.tld unless you have configured it specifically for your server.

1) Find your hosting server hostname

  1. Log in to My.GARMTECH.
  2. Open Services → select your hosting service.
  3. Copy the Server Hostname shown on the service page.

Tip: after you open Plesk, the same hostname is usually visible in your browser’s address bar.

2) Use these settings in your email app

Type Server Port Encryption
IMAP (recommended) Your server hostname 993 SSL/TLS
POP3 Your server hostname 995 SSL/TLS
SMTP (outgoing) Your server hostname 465 SSL/TLS

Username: your full email address (for example, info@yourdomain.tld).

Password: the mailbox password set in Plesk.

SMTP authentication: must be enabled (use the same username/password as incoming mail).

3) Common mistakes and quick fixes

  • Certificate warning → you used your domain name instead of the server hostname. Replace the server name with the hostname from My.GARMTECH.
  • “Cannot send mail” → check that SMTP port is 465 with SSL/TLS, and “Outgoing server requires authentication” is enabled.
  • Not receiving mail → verify your domain’s MX records point to the correct server hostname (especially after a DNS change).

If you recently changed DNS records or nameservers, allow some time for DNS propagation before testing again.
