Set Up Hosting Mail in Outlook, Thunderbird, and Apple Mail

This article explains how to set up a mailbox created in hosting in Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Apple Mail.

What are the GARMTECH mail server settings?
GARMTECH hosting mail uses your hosting server's hostname (shown in My.GARMTECH) as both the incoming and the outgoing server, with IMAP on port 993, POP3 on port 995 and SMTP on port 465, all secured with SSL/TLS. The username is always the full email address, and SMTP authentication must be enabled.

For newly added domains on hosting, mail autodiscovery may work automatically in supported email apps. If the app does not detect the settings correctly, enter them manually.

Microsoft Outlook
- Open Outlook and choose Add Account.
- Enter your email address.
- If Outlook does not configure the account automatically, choose manual setup.
- Select IMAP.
- Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings shown above.
- Enable SMTP authentication and use the same full email address and password as for IMAP.
- Finish the setup and send a test email.
Mozilla Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird and choose to set up an existing mail account.
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- Click Configure manually if needed.
- Select IMAP.
- Use port 993 with SSL/TLS for incoming mail.
- Use port 465 with SSL/TLS for outgoing mail.
- Enable SMTP authentication and use the same full email address and password as for IMAP.
- Save the account settings.
Apple Mail
- Open Apple Mail and add a new account.
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- If the app does not fill in the settings automatically, enter them manually.
- Use IMAP for incoming mail and SMTP for outgoing mail.
- Enable SMTP authentication and use the same full email address and password as for IMAP.
- Save the settings and test sending and receiving.

If you prefer to work in a browser, use webmail at https://garmtech.email.
Sign in with your full email address and mailbox password.
