Set up email forwarding and out-of-office auto-reply

GARMTECH allows you to set up email forwarding and out-of-office (auto-reply) for your mailbox. The exact steps depend on where your mailbox is hosted.

 

Option A — GARMTECH.Email

  1. Log in to GARMTECH.Email at https://garmtech.email.
  2. Open Settings (usually a gear icon).
  3. Set up one of the following:
    • Forwarding / Filters: create a rule that redirects incoming mail to another address.
    • Out of office / Vacation: enable an automatic reply and set the subject/text and active dates (if available).
  4. Save changes and send yourself a test email from an external address.

Option B — Hosting mailbox in Plesk

  1. Open Plesk → Mail.
  2. Click the mailbox you want to change.
  3. Configure what you need:
    • Forwarding: enable mail forwarding and enter the destination address(es).
    • Auto-reply: enable automatic reply and enter the message text.
  4. Click OK / Save.

Important notes

  • Forwarding vs. redirect: forwarding can either keep a copy in the original mailbox or only pass it on (depending on the option you select).
  • Deliverability: if you forward mail to Gmail/Outlook, make sure SPF/DKIM/DMARC are configured correctly for your domain to reduce spam issues.
  • Testing: always test from an external mailbox (not from the same domain) to ensure the rule works.
