Sync Cloud Storage with desktop and mobile apps

GARMTECH Cloud Storage is powered by Nextcloud. For automatic file sync, we recommend using the official desktop and mobile apps.

What you need

  • Your Cloud Storage URL (shown in My.GARMTECH on your Cloud Storage service page, or in the welcome email).
  • Your Cloud Storage username and password.

Desktop sync (Windows / macOS / Linux)

  1. Download and install the Nextcloud Desktop client from the official website.
  2. Open the app and click Log in / Add account.
  3. Enter your Cloud Storage URL.
  4. Log in with your username and password.
  5. Choose the local folder for sync and select what to sync:
  • All files (full sync), or
  • Selective sync (recommended for large accounts).

Recommended settings

  • Enable selective sync if you have large folders (keep only what you need offline).
  • If you use multiple computers, keep the same folder structure to avoid confusion.
  • For work files, avoid editing the same file on two devices at the same time (can create “conflicted copy”).

Mobile sync (iOS / Android)

  1. Install the Nextcloud app from App Store / Google Play.
  2. Tap Log in and enter your Cloud Storage URL.
  3. Log in with your username/password.

Useful mobile features

  • Auto upload (photos/videos): automatically back up your camera roll.
  • Offline files: mark important files for offline access.
  • Share links: create public links with password/expiry (if allowed by your service settings).

Alternative: WebDAV

If you prefer WebDAV (for example, for a backup tool), you can use the WebDAV URL shown in the Cloud Storage web interface. Note that the desktop/mobile apps provide the best sync experience.
