You can register a new domain directly in My.GARMTECH. After registration you can manage the domain (nameservers, WHOIS protection, DNSSEC, renewals) in the same client area.
Before you start
- Decide which domain name and TLD you want (for example,
.com, .net, .lv).
- If the domain will be used with a GARMTECH service (Hosting, VPS, Business Email, Cloud Storage), keep your plan ready so you can point DNS correctly after purchase.
Step 1 — Search domain availability
- Log in to My.GARMTECH.
- Open Domains → Register a New Domain (wording may slightly differ depending on the client area theme).
- Enter the domain name and click Search.
- If the domain is available, choose it and click Add to Cart.
Step 2 — Select registration period and addons
- Select the registration period (usually 1–10 years, depending on the TLD rules).
- Optional: enable WHOIS Protection (sometimes called “ID protection”). This hides your personal details in public WHOIS for supported TLDs.
- Optional: enable DNSSEC after registration (some TLDs support it, some do not). DNSSEC adds an extra layer of protection against DNS spoofing.
Step 3 — Checkout and payment
- Proceed to checkout and confirm the order details.
- Choose a payment method (card, PayPal, Apple Pay, crypto, or bank transfer where available).
- Pay the invoice. Domain registrations are processed after payment is completed.
Step 4 — Verify domain status
After payment, open Domains in My.GARMTECH and click the domain name. You will see the current status and management options.
- Some TLDs require additional verification (for example, email verification). Complete it as soon as possible to avoid suspension.
- If the domain is pending, wait a few minutes and refresh the page. Many registrations activate quickly, but the exact time depends on the registry.
Next steps: connect the domain to your GARMTECH services
- For Hosting: point the domain to GARMTECH by using our nameservers (
ns1.garmtech.com, ns2.garmtech.com, ns3.garmtech.com) or by setting the required DNS records (A/CNAME) for your hosting server.
- For Business Email: set the required MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, then configure mail apps using your service server hostname.
- For Cloud Storage: you can start using Cloud Storage immediately and (optionally) connect additional DNS records later if you need a custom integration.
Good to know
- Domains and hosting are separate products: registering a domain does not automatically publish a website.
- To avoid interruptions, enable domain auto-renew and keep your billing details up to date.
