From time to time, scammers send phishing emails that look like “webmail upgrade” notifications. These messages try to trick you into entering your email password on a fake website.

Important: The safest way to use our webmail is to open it directly: https://garmtech.email (type it in your browser yourself).

Common subject lines used by scammers

  • “New Webmail Version” / “Webmail version upgrade”
  • “Mailbox upgrade” / “Increase mailbox storage”
  • “Your mailbox will be blocked/disabled today”
  • “Security update required”

How to recognize a phishing email

  • Urgency and threats: “act in 1 hour”, “account will be disabled”.
  • Suspicious link: a button like “Upgrade now” that points to a non‑GARMTECH domain.
  • Requests for password: you are asked to “confirm” or “re‑login” using a form.
  • Sender mismatch: the “From” address or reply-to domain looks unrelated (random domains, misspellings, etc.).
  • Strange formatting: poor grammar, unusual fonts, broken logo, or mismatched brand name.

Safe way to log in to webmail

  1. Open https://garmtech.email in a new browser tab.
  2. Check that the browser shows a secure connection (lock icon).
  3. Log in with your email address and password.

If an email tells you to log in “to confirm something”, do not use the button in the email. Always use the direct address above.

If you clicked a link or entered your password

  1. Change your email password immediately. If you use hosting email, you can change it in Plesk. If you use Business Email, change it in GARMTECH.Email.
  2. Enable 2FA in GARMTECH.Email (and in My.GARMTECH if it is not enabled).
  3. Review mailbox settings for anything you did not create: forwarding addresses, filters/rules, signatures, and auto-replies.
  4. Sign out other sessions/devices in webmail security settings (if available) and re‑login on your own devices.
  5. Scan your computer/phone for malware and remove suspicious browser extensions.

How to report a suspicious email

If you want us to verify whether a message is legitimate, create a ticket in My.GARMTECH and attach a screenshot of the email (and the full headers if possible). Do not share your password in the ticket.
