You can use Gmail’s web interface to send messages from your business email address (for example, you@example.com) by adding it as a “Send mail as” address and using GARMTECH SMTP.

This is helpful if you prefer working in Gmail but want outgoing mail to use your domain.

Before you start

  • You need an active mailbox (Hosting Email or Business Email).
  • You need your mail server hostname from My.GARMTECH service details (use the service hostname as SMTP server).
  • If you enabled 2FA in the mailbox web interface, create an app password for SMTP/IMAP logins.

Step 1 — Open Gmail “Send mail as” settings

  1. Log in to Gmail in a browser.
  2. Click the gear icon → See all settings.
  3. Open the tab Accounts and Import.
  4. In the section Send mail as, click Add another email address.

Step 2 — Add your address

  1. Enter your name and your email address (for example, you@example.com).
  2. Optionally, enable Treat as an alias if you want Gmail to treat it as the same mailbox identity (this depends on your workflow).
  3. Click Next Step.

Step 3 — Enter GARMTECH SMTP details

Use the SMTP settings for your specific service:

  • SMTP Server: your service hostname (from My.GARMTECH)
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL
  • Username: the full email address (for example, you@example.com)
  • Password: mailbox password (or app password if 2FA is enabled)

Click Add Account.

Step 4 — Confirm the address

Gmail will send a verification email to you@example.com. Open that message and click the confirmation link (or enter the verification code) to finish setup.

Tip: If you do not see the verification email, check spam/junk folders or temporarily forward mail from the mailbox to your Gmail address so you can receive it.

Step 5 — Choose the default “From” address

After confirmation, return to Accounts and ImportSend mail as and choose which address should be the default for new emails.

Deliverability notes (recommended)

  • Make sure your domain has correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for GARMTECH mail sending.
  • When replying, Gmail can either reply from the same address or the default — choose the option that matches your workflow.
