Use multiple mailboxes in GARMTECH.Email (switch accounts)

GARMTECH.Email can be used as a single interface for multiple mailboxes. This is useful if you have several addresses (for example, info@, sales@, yourname@) and want to read and send mail without logging out.

Before you start

  • Make sure you know the password for each mailbox you want to add.
  • If a mailbox uses two‑factor authentication (2FA), you may need an app password (device password) instead of the main password.

Add an additional mailbox

  1. Sign in to GARMTECH.Email.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Find a section like Accounts, Mailboxes or Connected accounts.
  4. Click Add account / Add mailbox.
  5. Enter the email address and password for the mailbox you want to add.
  6. If you are asked for server settings, use secure settings:
Setting Value
Incoming protocol IMAP‑SSL
IMAP port 993
SMTP‑SSL port 465
Username Your full email address
Incoming/Outgoing server Use the server hostname shown for that service in My.GARMTECH (not “mail.yourdomain”).

Switch between mailboxes

  • Use the account selector (usually in the left panel or in the top‑right user menu).
  • When composing an email, double‑check the From address before sending.

Remove a mailbox

  1. Open SettingsAccounts/Mailboxes.
  2. Select the mailbox.
  3. Click Remove and confirm.

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication failed → verify the password. If 2FA is enabled, use an app password.
  • Cannot connect → confirm you used the correct service server hostname from My.GARMTECH and that ports 993/465 are allowed on your network.
