GARMTECH uses SitePad as the current website builder option. If you created a SitePad site on a temporary domain/subdomain and want to publish it on your final domain, the recommended approach is to clone the SitePad site to the new domain.
Before you start
- Make sure the destination domain is added to your hosting subscription in Plesk (as a domain or alias).
- Make sure the destination domain’s DNS points to your GARMTECH hosting server (nameservers or A record), otherwise visitors will not reach the server.
1) Open SitePad in Plesk
- Log in to Plesk from My.GARMTECH.
- Open your domain and find SitePad (Website Builder).
2) Clone the site to the new domain
- In SitePad, click Clone (or Clone Sites).
- Select the source site you want to copy.
- Choose the destination:
- Protocol: select
https:// (recommended; you can enable SSL in Plesk after cloning).
- Domain: select your new domain.
- Sub-directory: leave empty to publish to the root, or set a folder if needed.
- Site title: optional (helps you identify the site in the SitePad dashboard).
- Click Save and wait until cloning finishes.
3) Enable HTTPS on the new domain
- In Plesk, issue a free Let’s Encrypt certificate for the new domain (if available in your plan).
- Open the new domain in the browser and confirm it loads correctly.
Optional: redirect the old domain to the new one
If you no longer use the old domain, you can set up a 301 redirect/forwarding in Plesk so visitors are automatically sent to the new address.
