Set up GARMTECH Business Email in Outlook mobile (Android/iOS, IMAP)

This guide explains how to set up GARMTECH Business Email in the Microsoft Outlook mobile app (Android or iOS) using IMAP (recommended).

Before you start

  • Make sure the mailbox password works (or generate an app password if 2FA is enabled in GARMTECH.Email).
  • Find your email server hostname in My.GARMTECH → Email service details.

Step 1: Add the account

  1. Install and open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Tap Add Account and enter your email address (example: user@example.com).
  3. If Outlook offers provider choices, select IMAP (or Advanced settings → IMAP).

Step 2: IMAP settings (incoming mail)

  • Email address / Username: full email (example: user@example.com)
  • Password: mailbox password (or app password)
  • IMAP server: your server hostname from My.GARMTECH
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL/TLS

Step 3: SMTP settings (outgoing mail)

  • SMTP server: same hostname (or the SMTP hostname from My.GARMTECH)
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL/TLS
  • Authentication: required
  • Username: full email address
  • Password: mailbox password (or app password)

Testing

  • Send a test email to an external address and confirm delivery.
  • Reply back to confirm incoming mail works.

Tip: If sending fails but receiving works, the most common cause is SMTP authentication disabled or the wrong SMTP port. On GARMTECH Business Email, use SMTP‑SSL port 465 with authentication.
