Set up GARMTECH Business Email in the Gmail app (Android/iOS)

You can use the Gmail app on Android or iOS to work with your GARMTECH Business Email mailbox. The Gmail app supports IMAP for incoming mail and SMTP for outgoing mail.

Information you need

  • Your full email address (example: name@yourdomain.com)
  • Your mailbox password
  • Your mail server hostname from My.GARMTECH (Business Email service details)

Add the mailbox in the Gmail app

  1. Open the Gmail app.
  2. Go to SettingsAdd account.
  3. Select Other.
  4. Enter your email address and tap Manual setup (if offered).
  5. Select Personal (IMAP).
  6. Enter the incoming server details (hostname, port 993, SSL/TLS) and your password.
  7. Enter the outgoing SMTP details (hostname, port 465, SSL/TLS).
  8. Make sure SMTP authentication is enabled (username = full email address).
  9. Finish setup and send a test email.

Troubleshooting

  • “Cannot connect”: verify the server hostname from My.GARMTECH and the correct password.
  • Certificate warning: use the server hostname from My.GARMTECH (not your domain name and not garmtech.email).
  • Outgoing mail fails: SMTP must be on port 465 with SSL/TLS and authentication.
