If you receive too much spam or important emails go to Junk, you can improve results by using the spam controls in GARMTECH.Email.

1) Check the Spam/Junk folder

  1. Sign in to GARMTECH.Email.
  2. Open the Spam (or Junk) folder.
  3. If a legitimate email is there, select it and choose Not spam (or move it back to Inbox).

This helps “train” the filter.

2) Mark obvious spam correctly

  • If spam arrives in Inbox, select it and click Spam (or Mark as junk).
  • Do not open suspicious attachments or click unexpected links.

3) Whitelist a sender (safe sender)

Depending on your interface, you can whitelist a sender in one of these ways:

  • Add the sender to Contacts (address book) — many filters trust contacts more.
  • Create a filter rule: “If From contains sender@domain → move to Inbox”.
  • Use a dedicated Safe senders / Whitelist section if available.

4) Search for missing mail

  • Use the global search for the sender/subject.
  • Also check Trash and any Quarantine folder if your plan includes it.

Good practice

  • For business‑critical senders, create a rule that moves their emails to Inbox.
  • If you start receiving a lot of spam, consider using role addresses more carefully (like info@) and avoid posting your email publicly on websites.
