An Out of Office (auto‑reply) sends an automatic response to incoming emails while you are away. This is useful for vacations, sick leave, or when you want to set expectations about response time.

Enable Out of Office in GARMTECH.Email

  1. Sign in to GARMTECH.Email.
  2. Open Settings (usually a gear icon).
  3. Find Out of Office, Auto‑reply, or Vacation message (the wording can vary).
  4. Enable the feature and configure:
    • Subject (for example: “Out of office”)
    • Message (include dates and an alternative contact if needed)
    • Start / End date and time (if available)
    • Reply frequency (often “once per sender” to avoid spamming people)
  5. Click Save.

Testing

  • Send a test email from an external address (for example, from a personal mailbox).
  • Wait 1–2 minutes and check whether the auto‑reply arrives.

Tips and common issues

  • Avoid loops: do not set auto‑replies to mailing lists or automated senders if possible.
  • Repeated replies: many systems send only one reply per sender per day (or per period). This is normal and prevents spam.
  • Don’t forget to disable it when you return.
