Regular backups are the safest way to protect a SitePad website before major edits, theme changes, or publishing.
1) Create a SitePad backup
- Log in to Plesk from My.GARMTECH.
- Open SitePad (Website Builder).
- In the SitePad dashboard, click the Backup icon for the website you want to back up.
- Follow the backup wizard and wait for it to complete.
2) Find your backups
After a backup finishes, it will appear in the Backup list inside SitePad. From there you can manage existing backups for the site.
3) Export / download the website as ZIP (optional)
SitePad can provide a Download button in the editor to download website files as a ZIP archive.
- Note: the Download option can be disabled by default and may depend on the SitePad plan and hosting configuration.
If the download option is available in your interface:
- Open the SitePad Editor for the website.
- Click Download in the top bar.
- Click Download Now to download the ZIP archive.
4) What to do with the ZIP export
- You can upload the ZIP file to your hosting and extract it in your web directory using Plesk File Manager (for example to publish a static copy of the site).
- Keep the ZIP file as an additional offline backup.
