GARMTECH hosting includes Plesk WordPress Toolkit, which lets you install and manage WordPress without manual file uploads.
Install WordPress (recommended method)
- Open Plesk (from My.GARMTECH → your hosting service).
- Go to WordPress (or WordPress Toolkit).
- Click Install.
- Select where to install:
- Domain or subdomain
- Installation path (leave empty to install into the website root, e.g.
https://example.com/)
- Fill in Website title and Admin account (use a strong password).
- Choose language and click Install.
Immediately after installation: recommended settings
- Enable HTTPS for the domain and force redirect to HTTPS. In Plesk, install a certificate in SSL/TLS Certificates (Let’s Encrypt is usually the easiest).
- Turn on automatic updates (WordPress core and plugins) in WordPress Toolkit.
- Remove unused themes/plugins to reduce security risks.
- Performance: GARMTECH hosting runs on LiteSpeed Enterprise. For WordPress, the LiteSpeed Cache (LSCache) plugin is usually the best match (avoid using multiple cache plugins at the same time).
If you need to install WordPress into a folder
If you want https://example.com/shop/ instead of the root, set the installation path to shop. WordPress Toolkit will create the folder automatically.
Troubleshooting
- Install button is missing: make sure you are in the correct subscription in Plesk and your hosting plan includes WordPress Toolkit features.
- Permission errors: avoid uploading WordPress manually with incorrect file ownership; use WordPress Toolkit whenever possible.
