This article explains what happens after you purchase a Premium SSL certificate in My.GARMTECH and how it gets installed on your website. There are two ways to proceed – choose the one that suits you.
Option A – GARMTECH does everything for you (hosting clients)
If the certificate was ordered for a website on GARMTECH hosting, our team can handle the whole process: the domain validation and the installation of the issued certificate in Plesk. You do not need to do anything – after installation your site works over HTTPS with the Premium certificate. If we need anything from you (for example, an e-mail confirmation), we will contact you in the ticket.
Option B – Do it yourself in My.GARMTECH / Plesk
1. Complete domain validation (DCV)
A paid certificate is issued only after the Certificate Authority verifies that you control the domain.
- Log in to My.GARMTECH.
- Open SSL and select your Premium SSL order.
- Follow the domain validation instructions (usually an e-mail confirmation or a DNS/HTTP check).
Until validation is completed, the certificate stays in the "pending" state and cannot be installed.
2. Install the certificate in Plesk
- In My.GARMTECH → SSL, download the certificate and the CA bundle (intermediate certificates).
- In Plesk, go to Websites & Domains → your domain → SSL/TLS Certificates.
- Upload the certificate, the CA bundle and the private key (created together with the CSR).
- Assign the certificate to the domain and enable the HTTPS redirect.
Detailed steps: Install a paid SSL certificate in Plesk (CSR, certificate, CA bundle).
Check the result
- Open your site with
https://– the browser should show a valid lock icon. - Click the lock → certificate details: the issuer should be the commercial CA (not Let's Encrypt).
Troubleshooting
- Certificate is not issued for a long time: check that domain validation is completed and that a CAA DNS record does not block the CA.
- In Plesk you only see "Let's Encrypt" and "Upload": this is normal – a Premium certificate is installed via Upload (Option B) or by our team (Option A).
- Browser still shows the old certificate: clear the browser cache and re-check in a private window.
