If you see messages like “Disk quota exceeded”, “Not enough disk space”, or uploads/updates stop working, your hosting subscription has reached its storage limit. Disk usage includes website files, databases, email, logs and backups.

Step 1 — Check what uses space

  1. Log in to Plesk.
  2. Open Statistics to see total disk usage for the subscription and each domain.
  3. For a specific domain, you can also open Files and use size calculation to find large folders.

Step 2 — Free up space (safe checklist)

  • Old backups: open Backup Manager in Plesk and delete old backup archives you no longer need.
  • Website cache: clear cache in your application (for example, WordPress cache plugin). Do not delete critical system folders if you are not sure.
  • Large ZIP installers and uploads: remove old .zip, .tar.gz, .sql files after you finish migrations.
  • Logs: check the /logs folder for very large files.
  • Email storage: mailboxes also use disk space. Delete unnecessary mail and empty Trash and Junk.

Where to check mailbox size

  1. In Plesk, open Mail.
  2. Open a mailbox and check its Mailbox usage / size.

After cleanup

  • Disk usage in the panel may update with a delay.
  • If you still regularly hit the limit, the most reliable solution is to upgrade your hosting plan in My.GARMTECH.
